This immersive project allowed me to design and execute a moody, atmospheric "Evil Mansion" environment that blends architectural storytelling with visual artistry. I conceptualized the overall composition, layout, and haunting details, and brought it to life through a structured 3D real-time workflow.
Highlights & Key Focus Areas:
Mood & Atmosphere: I intentionally crafted a foreboding ambiance through lighting, materials, and layered architectural elements that evoke mystery and tension.
Design & Composition: I planned each space with thematic intent—using asymmetrical layouts, winding corridors, and visual focal points to guide the viewer’s gaze and enhance narrative impact.
Technical Workflow: The project involved modeling, scene layout, and real-time rendering (e.g., in Unreal Engine or similar), ensuring clean geometry and optimization for performance.
Creative Challenges: Balancing realism with gothic stylization was a critical focus—particularly in how details like wear, decay, and ornamentation contribute to the mansion’s unsettling charm.
What I Learned: This build deepened my skills in environmental storytelling, scene composition, and technical execution for real-time environments, while also reinforcing my ability to convey narrative through design.
